# Validate Team Brief Inputs

> Brand-kit gap check — which declared-required fields are empty.

Thin wrapper over `validate_brief_inputs`. Drives the soft callout on
onboarding Step 1 (inline warning while brand context is fresh) and
the hard gate on Step 5 (blocks launch when any required field is
still empty). Returns `brand_kit_linked` so the UI can render
"link a kit first" vs "fill these fields" paths.
